Three-Position Adjustment System
The TrailSlider’s defining feature is its three-position slider mechanism. In the fully retracted position, the step tucks tight against the rocker panel to maximize ground clearance when you’re navigating rocky trails or steep approach angles.
Mid-position splits the difference for mixed driving — enough clearance for moderate off-road obstacles while still offering a usable step. Fully extended position brings the step out to its maximum reach, ideal for daily driving and making entry and exit easier for passengers of all heights.
Materials & Construction
We build every TrailSlider from 1.75-inch diameter heavy-duty steel tubing, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to bending under impact. The textured black powder coat finish is applied after a thorough pre-treatment process that ensures long-term adhesion and protection against chipping, corrosion, and UV degradation.
The step pad itself is a molded high-traction surface that sheds mud and provides grip even when wet or icy. All mounting hardware is zinc-plated or stainless steel to resist rust in harsh climates.
Installation & Fitment
The TrailSlider ships with vehicle-specific mounting brackets engineered to bolt directly to your truck’s frame using existing holes or pre-drilled locations. Most installations take 60 to 90 minutes with basic hand tools — no welding or fabrication required.
Each kit includes detailed instructions, all necessary hardware, and a drilling template if frame holes need to be added. We design our brackets to preserve your truck’s factory underbody protection and avoid interference with skid plates or exhaust components.

In the fully retracted position, the TrailSlider sits approximately 1.5 inches closer to the rocker panel than a traditional fixed step, providing clearance similar to factory running boards or slightly better depending on your truck model.
The exact clearance varies by application, but the retracted profile is designed to minimize the step's vulnerable position when navigating rocks or off-camber trails.
We recommend adjusting the slider positions when the step is unloaded. The locking mechanism is designed to hold firmly under weight, which means releasing the pin while someone is standing on the step can be difficult and potentially unsafe.
For best results, adjust the position before entry or exit, not during.
Our vehicle-specific mounting brackets are designed to clear most aftermarket skid plates and avoid interference with exhaust routing. If you're running a full rocker protection setup, we recommend checking fitment compatibility before ordering.

Yes, the TrailSlider is compatible with most suspension lift kits up to 3 inches. The mounting brackets attach to the frame, so moderate lifts do not affect installation.
If you're running a lift greater than 3 inches, contact us to confirm fitment — in some cases, minor bracket adjustments may be needed to maintain proper step height.
The TrailSlider is backed by our limited lifetime structural warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own the product. The powder coat finish is covered for five years against peeling, flaking, or corrosion under normal use.
Wear items such as step pads and locking pins are considered consumables and are not covered under the structural warranty.
