Our step systems, bumpers and bars are engineered around real vehicle geometry — not universal one-size-fits-all tubing. Here’s the specification story behind the catalog.
Heavy-Wall Cold-Rolled Steel Tubing
Signature N-Fab tubing runs from 1.75″ to 3″ outside diameter with .084″–.095″ wall thickness — thick enough to shrug off curb strikes, trail hits and the daily weight of full-boot climbs into a lifted Ram 2500 or F-250.
Textured Two-Stage Powder Coat
Every finished part receives a phosphate wash, then a two-stage textured black powder coat over an anti-corrosion base. The textured surface hides trail rash, resists chipping and holds up to salted winter roads longer than a gloss finish.
Vehicle-Specific Mounting Brackets
We don’t ship universal brackets. Each Podium, Nerf Step RS, Epyx and RKR kit is CAD-designed for a specific year, cab and bed — F-150 SuperCrew, Silverado 1500 Double Cab, Tacoma Double Cab, 4Runner Trail — with laser-cut, powder-coated brackets and hardware.
Integrated Step Pads & Grip Surfaces
Podium steps use over-molded pads for slip resistance. Nerf Step RS gets full-length grip pads for wheel-to-wheel access. Epyx uses low-profile oval geometry with a wide, flat pad — engineered so wet boots, work gloves and dog paws all land the same way.
Light-Ready Bumper & Roof Architecture
RSP Prerunner, M-RDS and HVM Bull Bar are all engineered with pre-drilled tabs and integrated brackets for cube lights, LED bars and OEM sensor pass-throughs. The Multi-Mount Light Bar and Modular Roof Rack extend the same logic to the roofline.
Bolt-On, No-Drill Installation
The vast majority of N-Fab step systems bolt to existing frame or rocker points. No drilling, no cutting, no welding — most installs run 45 to 90 minutes with common hand tools, hardware included in the kit.
