N-Fab Multi-Mount Light Bar System | Official N-Fab Store
Our Multi-Mount light bar system delivers universal compatibility for roof and bumper installations across dozens of truck and SUV platforms. We engineered these brackets from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum to hold LED bars ranging from 20 to 54 inches without flex or vibration at highway speed.
Each kit includes laser-cut mounting plates, stainless hardware, and our proprietary quick-release clamps that secure bars in minutes without drilling new holes in your roof rack or bumper. The powder-coated satin black finish resists UV fade and corrosion in salt spray, mud, and snow. We back every Multi-Mount with our lifetime structural warranty against bending or cracking under normal off-road use.

Materials & Construction Standards

We machine every Multi-Mount bracket from 6061-T6 aluminum billet, the same alloy specified in aerospace landing gear and high-stress suspension components. This temper delivers a tensile strength of 45,000 psi while keeping each bracket under 4.2 pounds, so you add lighting capacity without compromising payload or fuel economy.
Our CNC laser-cutting process holds tolerances within 0.005 inches across every mounting hole and clamp slot. After cutting, each bracket passes through a six-stage powder-coat line where we apply electrostatically charged satin black finish at 400°F cure temperature. This process creates a molecular bond that resists chipping when branches scrape the mount during trail runs. We’ve tested samples in 1,000-hour salt spray chambers and seen zero paint delamination or base-metal oxidation.
Installation & Compatibility

Roof Rack Installation
The Multi-Mount clamps directly to most factory and aftermarket roof racks with crossbar diameters between 1.5 and 3.0 inches. Our quick-release U-bolt design wraps the crossbar and tightens with two bolts per side, creating a rigid four-point attachment that eliminates the side-to-side wiggle common in strap-based mounts. If you run our N-Fab PreRunner light bar on the roof, the same mounting pattern carries over so you can swap bars seasonally without re-drilling.
Bumper Mounting
For bumper installations, the kit includes flat mounting plates that bolt through existing license plate holes or factory recovery points on most full-size trucks. We’ve engineered the plate geometry to position the light bar 2.5 inches forward of the bumper face, ensuring full beam spread without shadow interference from the hood or grille. The system works with both our bumpers and OEM bumpers on Ford, Chevy, RAM, Toyota, and Nissan platforms from 2005 to current year.
What’s Included in the Kit

Each Multi-Mount system ships complete with laser-cut aluminum mounting brackets (quantity varies by bar length), four quick-release clamp assemblies with rubber-lined jaws to protect your roof rack finish, and a hardware pack containing Grade 8 zinc-plated bolts, lock washers, and nylock nuts. We also include plastic shims in 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm thicknesses so you can level the bar on crossbars with slight diameter variance.
You’ll find a printed installation guide with torque specs and diagrams for twelve common vehicle configurations, plus a QR code linking to our video library where we walk through installations on specific truck models. We don’t include the light bar itself—this is a universal mounting solution that pairs with any aftermarket LED bar featuring standard side-tab mounts spaced on 10-inch centers.

What people are saying
N-Fab Light Bar Mount Questions
The Multi-Mount system works with any truck or SUV that has a roof rack with crossbars between 1.5 and 3.0 inches in diameter, or factory bumper recovery points for front bumper installations. We’ve confirmed compatibility with Ford F-150/F-250/F-350, Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, RAM 1500/2500, Toyota Tundra and Tacoma, and Nissan Titan models from 2005 to present.
If you’re mounting to an N-Fab roof rack or bumper, the system integrates directly with our existing bolt patterns. For aftermarket racks from brands like Prinsu, Rhino-Rack, or Thule, measure your crossbar diameter and confirm you have at least 12 inches of clear space where you want to position the light bar.
Our Multi-Mount brackets accommodate LED light bars from 20 to 54 inches in length, provided the bar uses standard side-tab mounts with 10-inch center spacing. Most curved and straight bars from manufacturers like Rigid, Baja Designs, KC HiLites, and Vision X follow this mounting standard.
The system supports both single-row and dual-row bars up to 150 pounds total weight when installed on a structurally sound roof rack or bumper. If your bar is shorter than 30 inches, you’ll use two mounting brackets; bars over 40 inches require four brackets for optimal load distribution.
No drilling is required for roof rack installations—the quick-release U-bolt clamps wrap around your existing crossbars and tighten with included hardware. For bumper mounts, most installations use existing license plate holes or factory recovery point threads, so you’re bolting into pre-tapped holes rather than drilling new ones.
In rare cases where a bumper lacks suitable mounting points, you may need to drill two 3/8-inch holes per bracket. Our installation guide identifies which truck models require drilling and provides exact measurements and templates.
We rate the system for 150 pounds of dynamic load during off-road use, which includes the weight of the light bar, mounting hardware, and vibration forces at speeds up to 65 mph on rough terrain. For reference, most 50-inch dual-row LED bars weigh between 30 and 40 pounds, so you have substantial capacity margin even with heavy-duty lighting.
This rating assumes proper installation on a roof rack or bumper that’s itself rated for the load. If your factory roof rack has a lower weight limit, that becomes your governing capacity regardless of what our brackets can handle.
You’ll need a 9/16-inch socket or wrench for the U-bolt nuts, a 1/2-inch socket for the bar retention bolts, and a torque wrench capable of 25 ft-lbs. Most installations also benefit from a rubber mallet to seat the clamp assemblies and a tape measure to center the bar on your roof or bumper.
We include all necessary bolts, washers, and lock nuts in the hardware pack. The typical roof installation takes 20 to 30 minutes with these basic hand tools; bumper installations may take slightly longer if you need to remove the bumper cover for access to mounting points.
Our six-stage powder coat process creates a finish that withstands 1,000 hours of salt spray testing without delamination or base-metal corrosion. We’ve had customers run these mounts in coastal environments, desert sandstorms, and Canadian winters with minimal finish wear.
The satin black coating will show scuffs if branches scrape the brackets during tight trail sections, but the underlying aluminum won’t corrode. We offer touch-up paint pens for cosmetic repairs, though most users accept minor trail scars as proof of use rather than defects.
Yes, the Multi-Mount system works with both straight and curved light bars as long as the bar uses standard side-tab mounts. The bracket geometry accommodates the radius of most curved bars without requiring shims or spacers.
When mounting a curved bar on a flat roof rack, you may see a small gap between the center of the bar and the roof. This is normal and doesn’t affect structural integrity—the side mounts carry the load, not the center of the bar housing.
