N-Fab Bed Mounted Tire Carrier
We designed our bed mounted tire carrier to give you secure spare-tire storage without eating into your truck bed’s cargo capacity. The carrier mounts directly to your bed rails and positions your spare tire vertically behind the cab, keeping it out of the way while maintaining easy access.
Our heavy-duty steel construction withstands highway vibration, off-road impacts, and daily use. We build every carrier with a powder-coated finish that resists rust and UV damage across all climates. The adjustable cradle fits tire sizes from 33″ to 40″, accommodating most popular off-road wheel and tire combinations. Installation takes under two hours with basic hand tools, and our bolt-on design works with most full-size pickup truck beds without drilling or permanent modifications.

Steel construction & finish durability

We fabricate every N-Fab bed mounted tire carrier from 1.75-inch heavy-gauge steel tubing that maintains rigidity under full tire load. Our welded joints receive full-penetration welds at every connection point, eliminating flex and vibration noise during highway driving.
The black textured powder coat finish goes through a multi-stage process: metal prep with phosphate wash, electrostatic powder application, then oven cure at 400°F. This creates a finish that resists chipping from rock impacts and won’t fade under direct sunlight. We’ve tested carriers in salt-spray chambers simulating five years of coastal exposure with zero rust breakthrough on the base metal.
Tire size range & fitment adjustability

Our adjustable cradle arms slide along the carrier’s vertical posts to accommodate tire diameters from 33 inches up to 40 inches. Each arm locks into place with grade-8 bolts, and we include rubber-lined contact pads that grip the tire without damaging sidewalls.
The carrier works with most wheel widths from 8.5 inches to 12 inches. You’ll adjust the cradle depth by repositioning the retention straps through pre-drilled mounting slots. For oversized mud-terrain tires with aggressive tread blocks, our wide cradle spacing prevents tread interference during loading and unloading.
Installation process & truck compatibility

Bed rail mounting system
Our carrier uses a clamp-style mount that attaches to your truck’s bed rails without drilling. You’ll position the two base clamps over the bed rail, tighten the through-bolts, and the carrier’s vertical posts bolt directly to these clamp assemblies. The design distributes tire weight across four mounting points for stability.
Compatible truck models
The bed mounted tire carrier fits most full-size pickup beds from 2005 to current model years, including Ford F-150/F-250/F-350, Chevy Silverado 1500/2500/3500, GMC Sierra, Ram 1500/2500/3500, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan. We provide spacer shims to accommodate bed rail width variations between manufacturers. Short bed (5.5-6.5 ft), standard bed (6.5-7 ft), and long bed (8 ft) configurations all work with this carrier.

Common questions about our bed-mounted tire carrier
Our carrier fits most full-size pickup trucks from 2005 to current model years, including Ford F-Series, Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, Ram 1500-3500, Toyota Tundra, and Nissan Titan. The clamp-style mount adjusts to different bed rail widths, and we include spacer shims for manufacturer variations.
The carrier works with short bed (5.5-6.5 ft), standard bed (6.5-7 ft), and long bed (8 ft) configurations. It mounts without drilling or permanent modifications to your truck bed.
The adjustable cradle fits tire diameters from 33 inches to 40 inches. Our cradle arms slide along vertical posts and lock into position with grade-8 bolts, allowing you to customize the fit for your specific tire size.
The carrier handles wheel widths from 8.5 inches to 12 inches and supports a maximum tire weight of 100 lbs including the wheel assembly. This covers most popular off-road tire and wheel combinations, including oversized mud-terrain tires.
The carrier extends approximately 8 inches above your bed rails and positions the tire 6 inches forward from the cab wall. Most tonneau covers and camper shells that provide clearance for a 33-inch tire will fit without modification.
Roll-up tonneau covers typically have no clearance issues. For hard folding covers or camper shells, measure your specific cover’s clearance height—if it accommodates a 33-inch tire diameter plus 8 inches of carrier height, you’ll have adequate room.
Most truck owners complete installation in 90 to 120 minutes working alone. You’ll need a 3/4-inch socket wrench, 9/16-inch wrench, and a torque wrench capable of 65 ft-lbs.
We include all mounting hardware, retention straps, and detailed instructions with torque specifications. The installation requires no drilling—the carrier clamps to your existing bed rails using through-bolts and distributes weight across four mounting points.
Yes, our bed mounted tire carrier is compatible with fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitch installations. The tire positions 6 inches forward from the cab wall, providing adequate clearance for hitch assemblies that mount in the bed floor.
The carrier’s vertical design keeps the spare tire out of the hitch mounting zone. We recommend measuring your specific hitch’s forward clearance requirement, but standard fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitches have no interference issues with our carrier.
We include a locking pin hole drilled through the lower cradle arm. Insert a standard padlock through this hole to prevent removal of the cradle assembly and tire.
The two heavy-duty ratchet straps that secure the tire also route through your wheel spokes, creating an additional deterrent. For maximum security, use a padlock on the cradle pin and cable locks on the ratchet straps when parking in public areas.
Our black textured powder coat goes through a multi-stage application process with phosphate wash prep, electrostatic powder application, and 400°F oven curing. This creates a finish that resists chipping, UV fading, and rust.
We’ve tested carriers in salt-spray chambers simulating five years of coastal exposure with zero rust breakthrough on the base metal. The powder coat holds up well in desert heat, mountain snow, and humid climates without requiring additional rust protection or touch-up.
